Afghan Fundraiser Cookalong

We're raising funds with this Cookalong for the Afghanistan Refugee Crisis

In this class we will make two Afghan Classics.  You'll also get a  *Bonus* recipe and 2 Rice cooking Hacks to say thanks for your generous donation.  We will make :

• Borani Banjan (aubergine topped with a rich tomato sauce and a yoghurt & mint dressing)
• Quabili Pilau (a jewelled, fragrant rice dish)

They are both vegetarian and can be easily adapted for dietary needs, if you need help making changes just get in touch.

Your confirmation email will contain the ingredients and equipment list as well asn the bonuses and the zoom link.

It's better to join live obviously but if you can't make it please still donate as we can still send you the video

After the class we'll send you the recipe sheet and a video of the session so you can make the dishes again

We do not provide ingredients or equipment but try to ensure all ingredients are easy to access and provide alternatives. Only basic equipment is needed, you will generally need access to 2 hob burners and an oven.   In this case if you have a microwave that is an advantage but not at all essential,

There will be a requirement to prepare/pre weigh some of the ingredients and we'll let you know about those too.  All our classes are fun and relaxed, you can ask questions as we go and we don't rush ahead.  This class generally lasts 1 hour but  we allow 1 hr 15 minutes for questions and interaction

We use video extracts and stills from our classes to promote our service to prospective participants.  If you do not wish to take part in this please let us know and turn off your camera when requested.
