Flexi - Gyoza and Noodles
Feeding a Flexitarian Family? Make A veggie meal and an omni meal with It's From Scratch. This week - Gyoza and Noodles
Time & Location
22 May 2021, 11:00 – 12:15 BST
About the Event
Our late spring series of Cookalongs is designed to help those cooking for a 'Mixed Economy' of omnivores, vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians in their household. This is not an either/or situation. We're going to create two versions of the same meal at the same time to keep everyone happy. We call this concept 'Diverging Dinners' and our aim is to keep prep, dishwashing and shopping to a minimum despite effectively producing multiple meals.
This class has an Asian theme and we'll be making
- Gyozas (Pork and Tofu)
- Noodles (Pork and Tofu)
Learn how easy gyoza are to make (and how moreish they are to eat) and put 2 x 2 meals on the table at the end of the session.
Note: we will be asking you to mix flour and water to make a dough before the class as the dough needs to rest. This video shows you how to do it.
Once you're booked we'll send you the ingredients and equipment list.
A food processor or wand blender is essential equipment for this class.
Closer to the date of the event you'll receive the zoom link and playlist so you can enjoy any prep time with background music.
After the class we'll send you the recipe sheet.
We can provide advice on substitute ingredients if you require them, please just let us know before the class date
The charge for each class in the Flexi series is £10 per 'screen' - in other words your whole household can cook together but you pay just £10. We do not provide ingredients or equipment but try to ensure all ingredients are easy to access and provide alternatives. Only basic equipment is needed, you will generally need access to 2 hob burners and an oven.
There will be a requirement to prepare/pre weigh some of the ingredients and we'll let you know about those too. If it's your first class with us we'll call you in the week leading up to the class so you can ask questions and know what to expect. All our classes are fun and relaxed, you can ask questions as we go and we don't rush ahead. Classes generally last 1 hour but some may be 1 hr and 15 mins long
The class will only run with 4 or more participants. We will let you know on the Tuesday before the class if that number has been reached. We therefore recommend you hold off buying ingredients if you can until then. If the class does not run we can refund you or book you onto another class.
We use video extracts and stills from our classes to promote our service to prospective participants. If you do not wish to take part in this please let us know and turn off your camera when requested.
